Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument is featured in the 100th TV episode of Hawaii Skin Diver. The two-part show highlights champion skin diver Kimi Werner as she accompanies the research team led by PMNM Deputy Superintendent of Research and Field Operations, Randy Kosaki, on board the NOAA Ship Hiʻialakai.

Part One aired for the entire month of August on Oceanic Cable 16 (OC16) in Hawaiʻi, and features the team as they explore Nihoa, French Frigate Shoals and Gardner Pinnacles. Part Two, airing during the month of September, features the team's visit to Maro reef and Pearl and Hermes reef.

The story also appears in Hawaii Skin Diver magazine's 50th issue, just released. This coverage is important because it brings PMNM's message to a broad audience, and connects PMNM with the sport fishing community.
