On November 4th, Daniel Wagner research specialist at Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (PMNM), presented a seminar on research efforts to characterize mesophotic coral reef ecosystems (MCE) in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (NWHI). The seminar was hosted by Hawai'i Pacific University, an institution that has partnered with PMNM to conduct research in the NWHI over the last two years. A total of over 25 graduate students and faculty members attended the event and were able to learn more about current research projects in the protected waters of the monument.
